School Report Services was founded in 2005 in order to provide an electronic
means of distributing learner's school reports from the schools directly to
their parents or guardians, in an efficient, convenient, safe, and cost
effective way.
In order to accomplish this, School Report Services uses a flexible combination
of mobile and internet-based technologies.
We feel that technological advancement shouldn't be expensive for the end
consumer - in this case the schools and parents. We chose broad-based SMS mobile
phone technology to enable schools to have the maximum positive impact on their
main stakeholder group - the parents, without the inconvenience and cost
associated with other non-technical and/or high-priced web-based technologies
and products.
The founder of School Report Services, Adam Phillips, has more than twenty years
of computing and information technology experience in various industry sectors.
He holds a BCom degree and Datametrics diploma from the University of South
Africa (UNISA), as well as various certifications in Computer Programming,
Information Security, and Project Management. He is also an active member of the
Insitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Association of
Computing Machinery (ACM).
